PHARM AID reduces MENVAID® cost by 30%

March 10, 2026

The Russian biotechnology company PHARM AID has announced a price reduction for the MENVAID® vaccine, the only five-valent vaccine for the prevention of meningococcal infection in Russia. The vaccine's price has been reduced by 30% and is now set at 2,800 rubles, making it not only the most protective (against serogroups A, C, W, Y, and X) but also the most affordable on the market, where prices for four-valent alternatives start at 3,157 rubles.

As the company explained, this decision is part of a long-term strategy to increase the availability of modern immunization tools for socially significant diseases in Russia.

"Our goal is to provide the medical community and patients with reliable and modern prevention tools. Adjusting prices is part of our consistent efforts in this area. We want to not only supply high-tech medicines to the country, but also make them accessible to those who need them," said Azamat Metov, CEO of PHARM AID.

The price reduction was made possible by a strategic partnership with the world's largest vaccine manufacturer, Serum Institute of India, and the optimization of logistics processes. The launch of the company's own full-cycle factory in the Vorsino industrial park (Kaluga region), which is scheduled for commissioning in 2027, will be a key factor in its future pricing policy. The localization of production will allow the company to approach pricing more flexibly in the interests of the end consumer.

MENVAID® vaccine is intended to protect children from 9 months of age and adults up to 85 years of age from invasive meningococcal infections.
