PHARM AID Participated in the Expert Forum on Immunoprophylaxis for the First Time

April 10, 2026

Moscow, April 10, 2026. PHARM AID LTD participated for the first time in the 6th Expert Forum on Immunoprophylaxis, organized by the All-Russian Union of Patients, which annually brings together leading experts in the field of vaccination, regulatory authorities, and the pharmaceutical industry.
During the forum, experts discussed various issues related to the development of infectious disease immunization and ways to overcome them. In particular, leading Russian rabies expert, Professor Artashes Avakovich Movsesyants, drew attention to the preconditions and signs of a worsening epidemiological situation with rabies (as a reminder, this disease is 100% fatal to humans without timely post-exposure prophylaxis), and noted the unfortunately frequent cases of inadequate training among healthcare professionals in providing anti-rabies care. "One of the significant challenges in the fight against rabies remains the inadequate supply of anti-rabies medications, particularly human rabies immunoglobulin, which is required in more than half of cases involving contact with animals suspected of having rabies," the expert noted. "In this regard, the introduction of innovative medications, such as monoclonal anti-rabies antibodies designed to provide an alternative to human immunoglobulin, is becoming increasingly important. Such innovations should be implemented as quickly as possible, along with raising awareness among healthcare workers."
As part of the forum's business program, leading experts also discussed other key challenges facing the healthcare system, with particular attention given to the need to develop immunization against meningococcal infection amid the worsening epidemiological situation. The speakers noted that meningococcal infection remains one of the most dangerous diseases with a high risk of mortality and disability, necessitating a review of prevention approaches, specifically the improvement of the National Immunization Schedule. It was felt that updating the vaccination calendar to reflect current epidemiological risks and the availability of new vaccines is a crucial task for increasing immunization coverage.
Our company's Director of Government Relations, Alexey Korovkin, presented a brief statement. He provided a detailed account of PHARM AIDS' current activities and key development areas, and also discussed the opportunities the company offers for the development of effective immunization in the Russian Federation. Participation in a forum of this level was an important step in integrating the company into the professional community and demonstrating its expert potential.
"Our participation in today's forum is extremely important, as this communication platform brings together all key market participants, representatives of the expert community, and government agencies. We are open to dialogue and ready to share our experience in ensuring a stable vaccine supply, as well as to discuss in more detail our plans for developing production in Russia," noted Alexey Korovkin. Participation in the VI Expert Forum on Immunoprophylaxis confirms PHARM AID's commitment to being at the forefront of infectious disease immunization development and making a practical contribution to improving public health.
