TASS on the partnership between PHARM AID and Serum Institute: Localization of vaccine production as a way to achieve technological sovereignty
March 27, 2026
The TASS publication observes the strategy of international technology alliances in pharmaceuticals using the example of PHARM AID's cooperation with the Serum Institute of India in India. The partnership has gone beyond import supplies: the Indian side is transferring documentation, quality standards, and training specialists. The key result is the construction of a full-cycle plant in the Kaluga region with a capacity of more than 20 million doses per year, which will ensure stable supplies and availability of vaccines, including the pentavalent vaccine against meningococcal infection. The project is supported at the regional level and aims to strengthen the resilience of the Russian healthcare system.
