Pharm Aid Reveals Workforce Plans for Vaccine Production Plant Near Kaluga

Dec. 26, 2022

The company “Farm Aid,” which acquired the vaccine production plant in the Kaluga region from “Novamedika” and Pfizer, plans to hire 300 people to work at the facility. Azamat Metov, General Director of the pharmaceutical company that owns the plant, shared this with Gazeta.Ru.

“Of these 300 people, one-third will be highly qualified specialists with academic degrees. We plan to start recruiting staff as early as 2023,” emphasized Metov.

Earlier, “Novamedika” in partnership with Pfizer began the construction of a vaccine production plant near Kaluga. Later, Pfizer exited the deal, construction was halted, and the plant was acquired by “Farm Aid,” which will resume construction of the factory in 2023.

According to Metov, the plant will feature fully automated robotic filling lines in isolators and vaccine packaging lines, with minimal human involvement in the process.

“The possibility of error in production is practically excluded. We are designing the site based on equipment from countries friendly to Russia. An additional building will also be constructed near the plant, which will house its own workshop with 3D printers and other equipment capable of producing spare parts for the machines operating at the plant if necessary,” noted Metov.
